The Salem Town Board on Monday presented representatives of the Central High School cheer team with a proclamation recognizing their 2015-16 season, which ended with a state title.
The proclamation reads as follows:
WHEREAS, Central Westosha Varsity Cheerleaders won Wisconsin’s WACPC State competition Large Varsity Division; and
WHEREAS, the team earned its highest points of the season, 95.6 which also turned out to be the highest points of the day; and
WHEREAS, their performance, nearly perfect, put them almost 15 points ahead of second place; and
WHEREAS, this team has won every competition they have attended this year and earned the highest points of the day in every competition. Their 8 – 0 record is unprecedented in Central Westosha’s cheerleading history; and
WHEREAS, the Central Westosha Varsity Cheerleader team consists of the following: Macy Lux, Bree McKenna, Lauren Shane, Rylee Johnson, Krissy Swatkowski, Claire Fox, Jaden McKenna, Lauren LaPlant, Madi Leafblad, Madi Hansen, Rebecca Glassen, Alexis Toney, Lindsay Mazurek, Alyssa Bock, Bailey Kehoe, Sara Hebior, Layne Schroeder, Joscelynn Gould, Morgan Langer, and Sam Fornell. They are coached by Natalia Vernezze; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the Salem Town Board, consisting of Salem Town Chairman Diann Tesar, and Salem Town Supervisors Dennis Faber, Dan Campion, Ted Kmiec and Mike Culat, do hereby recognize & congratulate the Central Westosha High School Varsity Cheerleaders and their coach for their team’s championship achievement at the Wisconsin WACPC State competition and we wish them continued success.
