Units responding for smoke and flames in Paris

At about 1:03 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Paris Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of smoke and flames in the area of Highways K and D-north in Paris.

UPDATE 1:07 p.m — Deputy reports that smoke is probably from a controlled burn at the Strawberry Creek Golf Course. Fire units still responding to confirm.

UPDATE 1:13 p.m. — Paris fire units returning to quarters.
