Grandmother gives grandchildren ride to school on fire truck

Mary Wiberg gave her grandchildren a suprise they won’t soon forget — a ride to Bristol School in a Town of Salem Fire/Rescue truck with the lights flashing and the sirens blaring on Thursday.

Wiberg had won the ride in a silent auction at a Boy Scout pandcake breakfast and decided to give it to her grandchildren.

None of the children knew what was in store for them that morning, but they were ecstatic with the experience. The children were: Joseph Harris III (9 years old), Tayla Wiberg Lloyd (7), Isla Wiberg, (6) and Kain Wiberg (3).
