Westosha Central HS Forensics third at 2016 conference meet

The Westosha Central High School Forensics team competed in the Conference Meet at Waterford on Tuesday, March 8. The team took 3rd place overall with 14 individual medal winners. Three of those winners earned a 1st place Conference Champion in their category. Jared Holloway earned his 4th Conference Champion title in Extemporaneous speaking.  The team will compete at the District Meet in Waterford on Saturday, March 19. This meet will be the last step in qualification for the State Tournament.

1st place conference champions:

  • Jared Holloway, extemporaneous speaking
  • Francesca Weidner, four minute speech
  • Alex Kelly, Grace Jahnke, Emily Houtz, group interpretation.

3nd place:

  • Brad Gillmore, radio.
  • Victoria Salerno, demonstration.
  • Jennifer Young, moments in history.
  • Michelle Belmont, public address.
  • Riley Noonan, solo humorous.
  • Jaret Schroeder, Matt Holloway, play acting.

2nd place:

  • Will Cushman, radio.
  • Kiley Anderson, solo humorous.

Finalist:

  • Alex Salerno, radio.
  • Jonathan Filiatreault, extemporaneous speaking.
  • Kaitlyn Schaffer, poetry.
