Winter storm warning issued for tonight

WEATHER-ALERT-logo-all-3-webThe National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for an area of Wisconsin including Western Kenosha County.

The warning is in effect from 9 p.m. tonight to 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Precipitation may start as rain or sleet or snow tonight and change to snow or perhaps snow and sleet. As much as 3 to 6 inches of snow/sleet accumulation is expected from Monday night through Tuesday. Winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph may combine with the precipitation to make travel hazardous.

High temperatures will be just under 30 for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There’s a 30 percent chance of more snow Wednesday night and Thursday.
