Winter weather advisory issued for snow and wind

The National Weather Service still does not expect Western Kenosha County to see much snow Wednesday afternoon and night, but a combination of some snow and some strong wind has prompted the issuance of a winter weather advisory.

Our area is on the very snow edge of a storm moving through the Chicago area. Still the NWS forecast says we could see less than an inch of snow accumulation.

Winds of about 25 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph could cause some hazardous travel conditions, the NWS advisory warns.
