At about 7:10 a.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding for a report of a crash in the 24600 block of 60th Street (Highway K) along the Paddock Lake-Brighton border.
UPDATE 7:14 a.m. — Fire unit arriving on scene reports two vehicles with damage, both off the road way. One person appears to still be inside one vehicle.
UPDATE 7:18 a.m. — Deputies shutting down traffic from both directions while fire/rescue personnel work on getting person out of vehicle.
UPDATE about 7:25 a.m. — Deputy requests a tow truck.
UPDATE 7:29 a.m. — Deputy requests another tow truck. Says both vehicles will have to be pulled out of the ditch.
