Free income tax assistance is available in Kenosha County for low to moderate income families.
IRS certified volunteers are ready to assist taxpayers to complete and e-file their tax returns for free for households earning up to $54,000.
The Kenosha County VITA Coalition is working in partnership with United Way of Kenosha County, Carthage College, Kenosha County Job Center, Gateway Technical College and other community organizations.
Tax assistance is offered at multiple locations in Kenosha County:
- Kenosha County Job Center – 8600 Sheridan Road, entrance D, Feb. 6 – April 12, Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. to noon and Tuesday evenings, 5 to 9 p.m. First come, first served.
- ELCA Outreach Center – 6218 26th Ave, Kenosha, March 3-31, Thursday mornings by appointment. Call 652-5545.
- Kenosha Public Library – 1500 27th Ave., Kenosha, Feb 2-23, Tuesday mornings by appointment. Call 262-960-9178.

The Kenosha County VITA coalition provides free income tax preparation services for low-to moderate income individuals and families earning $54,000 or under. Financial education resources will be available at each of the tax sites.
