Joshua Cooper was sworn as the Twin Lakes Police Department’s lieutenant at Monday’s regular Village Board meeting.
Village administrator Jennifer Frederick administered the oath, after some remarks by police Chief Adam Grosz. After Cooper signed his oath, Sonya Cooper pinned on his new badge.
Cooper has been with the department since 2008. He had been serving as the department’s detective since 2011. He has served in law enforcement since 1999 with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, Butler (Wis.) Police Department, Town of Salem Public Safety Department and the Silver Lake Police Department
Cooper will be supervising evening and night shifts, Grosz said.
“We’re excited to have him aboard,” Grosz said. “I think he’ll do a great job for the department.”
