It was difficult to get a clean measurement of the snowfall overnight at westofthei.com headquarters, due to drifting. After measuring several locations, I’d say we got somewhere between 1.5 and 2 inches of accumulation. For shoveling purposes, the snow was light and easy to move. But beware of the wind. With a temp in the single digits, the wind had a bite.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high of 9 degrees Tuesday. Northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts a high as 30 mph will give us wind chill in the -10 to -15 range. Tonight’s low will be -3.
The warm-up starts Wednesday, when the NWS says we will see a high of 18. That will be followed up by high temperatures Thursday of 33 and 37 on Friday. Temperatures will begin dipping down again over the weekend and be back in the low teens by Monday.
