At about 8:37 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units are responding to a report of a vehicle fire in the 23200 block of 81st Street in Salem.
Per dispatch: Vehicle is about five feet from a residence. Flames seen. People at the scene attempting to extinguish the fire.
UPDATE 8:47 p.m. — Fire units not finding scene at specified address.
UPDATE 8:48 p.m. — Scene located in 23200 block of 84th Street.
UPDATE 8:49 p.m. — Unit on scene reports fire appears to be under control. Lots of smoke.
UPDATE 8:54 p.m. — Salem F/R command asks grass rig to respond to the scene on a non-emergency basis.
