Units responding to fire alarm along Brighton-Salem border

At about 10:30 a.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a frie alarm in the 25700 block of 60th Street (Highway K) along the Brighton-Salem border.

Per dispatch: General smoke alarm reported by alarm company. Alarm compnay could not reach anyone at the address by phone.

UPDATE 10:32 a.m. — Silver Lake Fire Department also responding with an engine.

UPDATE 10:36 a.m. — First fire unit on scene out and investigating with no signs of fire visible from exterior.

UPDATE 10:45 a.m — Alarm reset. All units clearing the scene.
