At about 8:18 p.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department, Randall Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a sparking transformer in the 7600 block of 368th Avenue (Highway O) in Wheatland.
Per dispatch: Transformer is near a barn.
UPDATE 8:21 p.m. — Dispatch says a caller at the scene reports fire is spreading down the power line to the west. Fire department requests that utility company respond.
UPDATE 8:25 p.m. — Deputies to block off Highway O in both directions.
