Temperatures above freezing encouraged a good turnout for the lighting of the Twin Lakes Christmas Tree. People enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate from Boy Scouts Troop 380 while listening members of Wilmot Chorus who sang several traditional carols. The crowd gathered around the tree in Central park and sang a couple of songs, themselves, including Jingle Bells.
Santa arrived on the antique engine from Twin Lakes Fire, to the delight of the children. With some assistance from Village President Howard Skinner, the tree was illuminated.
