A Paddock Lake teenager reported to sheriff’s deputies a tussle she had with a stranger outside her home Monday evening.
The 17-year-old female who lives on the north side of the village told deputies she went out at about 9:15 p.m., Monday to retrieve items from a car when a man wearing a hoodie and dark clothing pulled her out of the vehicle by grabbing her shoulder. The teen shoved the attacker away and the man ran to his dark colored vehicle and drove away.
Deputies have been unable to find a suspect so far and no similar incidents have been reported since Monday, KCSD Sgt. Mike Weyker said Wednesday. However, all deputies patrolling in the area have been made aware of the incident and are on the outlook for any suspicious activity.
The deputy responding to the original incident did stop a dark-colored vehicle nearby. The driver of that vehicle could not be connected to the incident, but was arrested for possession of marijuana, Weyker said.
