At 8:30 a.m. , I measured an additional 5 inches of snow at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake. That would be a total of 7 inches since snow started falling at about 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.

Not much has changed about the local National Weather Service forecast. The winter storm warning is still in effect until 3 p.m., with 2 to 4 more inches of daytime accumulation expected. Winds will be noticeable as well, with a north wind of 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph, complicating snow cleanup

Today’s high should reach 32 and the low tonight a bitter sounding 10.
