Entries sought for Paddock Lake Holiday Parade on Dec. 19

Paddock Lake  is seeking participants for it 3rd annual Holiday Parade on Dec. 19.

The 2015 theme of the parade is “Land of the Misfit Toys” (this is not required, but is encouraged).

Parade entries of all sizes, shapes, forms and categories are welcome.  A prize will be awarded for the “Most Creative” entry. An entry form is available here.

The parade route will start at McAlonan Park on 248th Ave head north to 61st St east to 236th Ave south to the Village Hall.  Lineup is at 3:30 p.m.; parade kicks off at 4 p.m.

Santa will be the head liner in the parade and will be escorted to the Village Hall to take pictures with all the good little boys and girls after the parade and tree lighting.

For liability purposes, the village asks that candy is not be thrown from floats but rather “handed out” to spectators by individuals walking along side of float entries.

Milk and cookies will be served at the Village Hall until 7 p.m.

    Still can’t call it what it is…its Christmas. I mean, what would the answer be if one asked “what holiday is it?”
