Silver Lake Family Fun Walk and Community Baptist Church Fall Fest 2015 coverage (PHOTOS)

sl-family-fun-walk-and-fall-fest-2015-2It was a good fall day for a stroll Saturday afternoon and many took advantage of that to participate in the inaugural Family Fun Walk through the streets of Silver Lake Saturday afternoon.

The walk immediately preceded the annual Community Fall Fest, hosted by Community Baptist Church.

Walkers were able to travel the marked 1.7 mile course, stopping at tables periodically to collect the goodies and gifts handed out by local civic organizations and businesses along the route. The route brought them back to the church property in time for the start of the Fall Fest.

Here are some more photos taken early in the two-hour walk followed by photos from Fall Fest:

This was Community Baptist Church’s Fourth Fall Fest. It was great to see so many from the community come out to enjoy the festivities. We look forward to seeing all of you next year. We hope it is as much of a blessing to you as it is to all of us. Invite your friends and neighbors next year.

What a great event for Silver Lake families! I am sorry I missed it. You are to be commended for bringing our community together in the best way possible and ending up at the best place possible, a church! God bless you all on a job well done. And the Sharing Center is the benefit of all this good, an extra bonus.
Thank you to the volunteers for doing this!!!
