The fall play at Wilmot Union High School this year is “Play On” written by Rick Abbot. It is the story of a theater group trying to put on a play in which everything that can go wrong does. The cast of 10 takes the audience through a rehearsal, dress rehearsal and then the play itself despite an interfering playwright, bickering actors and a frustrated director.
Twenty five Wilmot students are involved in this year’s production. The cast not only had to learn the lines to the play, they also had to remember to drop lines, forget their place and lose props on purpose.
“Play On” offers great insight as to what really happens during rehearsals before a performance.
This mad cap comedy will be presented on:
- Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 7 at 2 and 7 p.m.
Admission is $5.
“Play On” is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
