The Randall Town Board has scheduled a special meeting for 7 p.m., Oct. 16 at Town Hall in Bassett to further discuss and gather public opinion on a pier extension application on Powers Lake.
Plan Commission member Ken Mangold said the town is looking to gather public opinion on the request.
The property owner is seeking to extend their pier at times beyond the 100-foot limit to make docking a boat easier, but some other users of the lake fear the longer pier will impede current boating and water skiing patterns.
Opinions gathered from the public at the meeting will be forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Mangold said.
An agenda for the meeting says the board will also consider and possibly act on a request from the Randall Fire Department to purchase a truck.
