At about 5:55 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire in a home in the 29800 block of 102nd Street in Wilmot.
Per dispatch; Fire was reported to a third party outside of the home who reported it to 911.
UPDATE 5:57 p.m. — Salem F/R command requests Silver Lake Fire Department also respond.
UPDATE 5:59 p.m. — Problem was food inside an oven. Response reduced to a single engine.
UPDATE 6:02 p.m. — Small oven fire extinguished.
UPDATE 6:04 p.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch: “Burnt brownies.”
