Dakota Grimm part of ‘Meet Crookston through Service’ at University of Minnesota Crookston

As part of New Student Orientation at the University of Minnesota Crookston, students are introduced to Crookston through a program called “Meet Crookston through Service” before classes even start.

On Saturday, Aug. 22, students were at work at 14 different locations around the community under the direction of their student orientation leader and Lisa Loegering, assistant director of community engagement on the Crookston campus.

Dakota Grimm, of Bristol, spent the morning at Cathedral Library volunteering as part of this unique service opportunity.

The University of Minnesota Crookston now delivers 31 bachelor’s degree programs, 22 minors, and 36 concentrations on campus as well as 14 degree programs entirely online. It has an enrollment of 1,800 undergraduates from more than 20 countries and 40 states. To learn more, visit www.umcrookston.edu.
