During the overnight hours of 10/03/15 into 10/04/15, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a “smash and grab” type burglary the Countryside gas station and convenience store located at CTH C/ Wilmot Road and US 45 in Kenosha County. A short time later, an armed robbery took place at the Speedway gas station and convenience store along State Highway 50 and Interstate 94, in Kenosha County.   These two incidents have now been linked to the person of interest in a recent Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department homicide investigation, Andrew Mario Obregon.  Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputies became involved in another vehicle pursuit with Obregon as he fled the area of the second scene.  He was operating a stolen gold colored Ford SUV.  This vehicle ultimately crashed near the 1600 block of CTH MB/136th Avenue in Kenosha County.  A short time later, an area resident reported that a brand new white colored Ford Transit cargo van had been stolen from a property near the area where the SUV crashed.  This van had permanent (unknown) Illinois plates attached and large (4’ x 2’) green colored lettering down the side reading “Sports Interiors. ‘ Obregon is now believed to be in possession of this full sized cargo style van.  This van is similar to the van depicted in the attached photo. Sheriff Beth asks that the public remain diligent in providing information which may lead to the arrest of Andrew Obregon.  Anyone with information about Obregon’s current whereabouts is urged to call the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department at 262-605-5100. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call the Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333 or toll free at 800-807-8477.  Information leading to arrest and conviction may result in a reward up to $1,000.

Sheriff David Beth has said Obregon is a person of interest in the investigation of the death of Tywon Anderson, 37, of Kenosha, who was found dead in a Paris farm field Sept. 26.

Friday, Obregon led deputies on a high speed chase in a stolen car through Paris and into Racine County, but ultimately eluded capture. At a press conference on that incident, Beth characterized Obregon as armed and dangerous, though he did not feel he is a danger to the general public.

Obregon is 32 and described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

The suspect is driving through farm fields. He drove from HWY K avoiding police blocked roads through the corn field on my property down my driveway and crossed HWY N going north. Just a little unnerving. Locked the doors and loaded the guns.
