Churches to host Harvest Labyrinth Oct. 10

The 3rd annual Harvest Labyrinth will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pleasant Prairie United Methodist Church, 8405 104th Ave.

A labyrinth, painted on the grass behind the church, will be available for all to stop by and enjoy.   People are invited to bring non-perishable food items and fresh produce to place along the path in celebration of the abundance of the harvest season.  Donated food items will be shared with The Sharing Center and the Shalom Center.

The labyrinth has long been a spiritual tool used in many traditions, including Christianity.  The public is invited to walk the path as an act of prayer, meditation, or just plain curiosity; browse community and volunteer opportunities; view brief educational videos on hunger and poverty; or just to visit with others. Stay five minutes or as long as you wish.

The Harvest Labyrinth is sponsored by Living Waters, a connectional ministry which includes Bristol, Wesley chapel, Wilmot, Pleasant Prairie, and Salem United Methodist Churches. For further information contact Pamela Garside-Meyers at 262-358-5102 or email LivingWaters@wi.rr.com
