At about 7:42 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a crash at Highway 50 and Highway 83-south, Brass Ball Corners, in Paddock Lake.
Per dispatch: A car and a pickup truck involved. Injuries being reported. Deputies may close entire intersection.
UPDATE 7:44 p.m. — Paris Fire and Rescue unit on scene reports driver of one vehicle in trapped, but is conscious and breathing.
UPDATE 7:45 p.m. — Second ambulance being dispatched.
UPDATE 8:03 p.m. — Ambulance transporting a patient to a local hospital.
UPDATE 8:09 p.m. — Second ambulance transporting a patient to a local hospital.
UPDATE about 8:20 p.m. — One fire unit remaining on scene; others still at the scene returning to quarters.
As of 8:44 pm the intersection is still blocked by vehicles.
