On Aug. 13, the Kenosha County Tavern League provided backpacks, shoes, and clothing to various children attending Westosha Head Start. During school orientation, parents could sign up for different items they needed to get their children ready for school. “It was so much fun going shopping with Judi and Jen, they were so generous and wanted to make sure the children got what they needed” said Ann Beam, Westosha Head Start Family Advocate.

The Tavern League is raising funds for Head Start from their Spring-Summer Scavenger Hunt 2015. The drawing for the scavenger hunt will be held at Triangle Bar in Twin Lakes, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.

Westosha Head Start is a federally funded preschool program for eligible families in Kenosha County. They are still enrolling at this time. For information please call 862-6168.
