The Little Miss Edelweiss and Junior Miss Edelweiss Contest will again be part of Old Settlers Oktoberfest on Sept 12 at Old Settlers Park in Paddock Lake.
The contest is for girls age 0-10 to show off their prettiest dress or German inspired outfit. The contest will begin at 4 p.m.
You can forward a completed entry form to: Mindy Cooling at mindy@mindycooling.com. Entries also will be accepted up to 2 p.m. on Sept. 12.
This will be the fifth annual Old Settlers Oktoberfest.
This year’s event will feature German dances and music, a classic car show, the Dachshund Dash dog races, children’s activities, a raffle as well as beer, wine and food tents. Everything will wrap up with a fireworks finale at 8 p.m.
New this year will be the County Executive 5K, with registration at 8 a.m. and race start at 9 a.m. Awards will be given to overall winners, age group winners, best Oktoberfest Attire and other fun awards. More information and online registration is available here.
Proceeds of this year’s raffle will go toward funding the construction of a permanent bandshell for Old Settlers Park.
