The Central High School District of Westosha is looking for people willing to fill a vacant school board seat through April 2016. The person appointed could run in the April 2016 election to fill the seat through April 2017, when the three-year term expires.
Candidates for the seat must live in the Salem School District, but not in Paddock Lake. People interested in being appointed can file a letter of interest with the district to: Mrs. Kim Hole-administrative assistant, Central High School Board of Education, 24617 75th ST., PO BOX 38, Salem, WI 53168. Deadline for submission of a letter is Sept. 15. The board will interview candidates a make a selection based on those interviews.

The vacancy was created when Mary Andersen resigned as a member of the board.
A media release from the district said the resignation was due to Andersen moving out of the Salem portion of the district. Andersen held the Salem seat.
