Samantha Lucas of Bristol was this year’s winner of westofthei.com’s guessing contest at its booth at the Kenosha County Fair.
This year’s contest was guessing the number of dried cranberries in a quart canning jar. There were 1,436 cranberries in the jar. Lucas guessed 1,427, making her the closest guesser and the winner of the prize, a $100 gift card to Marv and Alison’s Sentry in Paddock Lake.
Lucas said she does not feel she has any special aptitude for guessing, but noted that she did win a similar contest at a party recently.
