At 1:54 p.m, Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units are on the scene of a fire in the 6300 block of 218th Avenue in Salem.
I head a brief snippet of radio transmission indicating the fire was in a basement of a home. It’s likely that other nearby departments are on the scene due to automated response.
UPDATE 2:14 p.m. — Dispatch reports to 218th Avenue command that incident is 2 hours old.
UPDATE 2:22 p.m. — Salem F/R unit released from scene to return to quarters.
UPDATE 2:25 p.m. — Another Salem F/R unit clearing the scene and returning to quarters.
UPDATE 2:27 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue unit clearing the scene and returning to quarters.
Kenosha Area Fire Rescue Scanner Facebook page is reporting that a box alarm was activated at about 1:15 p.m., with Newport Fire Department and Union Grove Fire Department responding.
