Twin Lakes Chamber’s Business in the Park Business Expo, 2nd Annual Car Show and Craft fair is Aug. 29

car-tire-wheel-sxc-Ivaylo-Georgiev-webThe Twin Lakes Area Chamber and Business Association’s Business in the Park Business Expo, 2nd Annual Car Show and Craft fair will take place Saturday, Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Twin Lakes.

The street will be lined with antique and classic cars and trucks for a car show from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for 1st place in 5 categories: 1940’s and older, 1950’s & 1960’s, 1970’s & newer, Best of Show and Most Unique. Ballots will be by People’s Choice, so come out and vote for your favorites. There will be goodie bags for the first 75 cars and a door prize raffle for the car owners. Businesses will have booths along the sidewalks and while the cars line both sides of Main St. between Burden Ave. and Lake Ave. The street will be closed from 7:30 a.m. for Business in the Park and will remain closed until midnight for the Block Party.

There will be a craft & vendor show in Central Park. Crafters and Vendors spaces are still available. Central Park, by the Caboose, will be the location of the Children’s Area with arts and crafts and a Penny Carnival. Lots of games, face painting, temporary tattoos and activities for the little ones. The Community Library will have a representative in the Children’s Area. New York Life Insurance will be making free Child ID Kits. They will do fingerprints and photos for the ID kits. None of the information is retained by New York Life. Twin Lakes Fire Department will be there with a Fire Truck for close up inspection and the EMT’s will be available to take your Blood Pressure. Twin Lakes Police Department will have a booth with information and to meet and greet the public.

Hot Dog and brat lunch, snacks, beverages and other treats will be available in front of the Chamber Office. The chamber will have its Spinning Wheel & Raffles again. Businesses that cannot be here to participate can have their business featured on the Spinning Wheel. The public gets one spin to win a prize donated by those businesses.
