Trustee Kathlyn Barry is resigning from the Paddock Lake Village Board.
Village President Terry Burns confirmed Friday that Barry has submitted a letter of resignation to the board.
Discussion of the resignation is on the agenda for Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting.
Barry served on the board since June 2013, when she was appointed to fill the term of Trustee Jill Smart, who resigned shortly after losing a race for village president to Burns. Barry was re-elected to a seat on the board in April 2014. The person appointed to the board will fill out the remainder of her term, which expired in April 2016.
In Paddock Lake, board vacancies are filled by the village president with approval of a majority of the village board.
