Victims in Bristol plane crash identified

The two victims in the fatal plane crash in Bristol last weekend have been positively identified, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has announced.

The pilot of the plane has been identified as William Lester Lanman, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky.  Lanman was a US Army Veteran and long time pilot.

The passenger in the plane has been identified as 43 year old James Dan Arnold, 43, of Crestwood, Kentucky. Arnold was a friend of Lanman and was studying to be a pilot.  Arnold leaves behind a wife and two daughters.

The men had been flying to Oshkosh at the time of the crash.

The crash continues to be investigated by the FAA and NTSB.

The crash scene was discovered by authorities on Sunday afternoon after about two hours of searching.
