At about 3:38 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of a possible fire in a home in the 23400 block of 81st Street in Salem.
Per dispatch: Caller is reporting a large fire on top of a stove.
UPDATE 3:42 p.m. — Dispatch reports to responding units that sheriff’s deputy on scene is evacuating occupants now. Fire is confined to stove top at this time.
UPDATE 3:44 p.m. — Per dispatch: Deputy shut off gas supply from outside; fire is out.
