Twin Lakes residents, are you up to date with your bicycle registration?
Don’t sweat it if you’re not. The Twin Lakes Village Board on Monday formally repealed the requirement to register bikes from village ordinances.
Village administrator Jennifer Frederick, at Monday’s regular board meeting, said the police department had requested the change since the registration ordinance had not been enforced for as long as anyone can remember.
“They felt that was something we could forego,” Frederick said.
The repeal was approved 6-0 with Trustee Jeremy Knoll absent.
It would be nice if the rules of the road were enforced upon the wannabe Lance Armstrongs!
