Bill Harris of Harris Pet Hospital in Paddock Lake donated four planting beds to Bristol School District No. 1 in June. They are located on the southwest side of the grounds and are now home to a vibrant and varied crop of vegetables tended to by Bristol students, Bristol Kids Club children and the Wynhoff family.
Everyone is enjoying watching the garden grow and noting all the wonderful changes as the children see nature bloom from week to week. Produce generated from the Bristol School planting beds will be donated to the Sharing Center, helping others benefit from this summer project.
Thanks to the Kenosha Community Foundation and Dr. Bill Harris who funded the gardens, Dr. Harris for the overall coordination, Gayle Ryczek, and all those at Bristol School for their TLC to these beautiful plants.
If you know of a school wishing to have raised beds installed for free at their location, please contact Bill Harris or the Sharing Center.
