Lakewood School Community Car Show took place Sunday at St. John’s Church in Twin Lakes.
Some 33 cars participated. First and second place prize packages were awarded. The first place winner was a 1959 Thunderbird Convertible with factory air conditioning (rare) and second place was a 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS. There was an honorable mention Kid’s Choice award and the Thunderbird also won that prize package.
DJ Keith Nowicki provided music and MC’d the event. The event was free and open to the community. Hot Wheels cars and stickers were provided to all the kids, Lakewood key rings for all the adults, hot dogs and chips for everyone. There were three free prize raffles for all of the kids as well. All prizes were donated by local area businesses. Joesph Price, district administrator, got to take a TA out for a spin as well.
