Units responding to crash along Salem/Brighton border

At about 5:40 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highways B and K along the Salem/Brighton border.

Per dispatch: Two or three vehicles may be invovled. A utility pole and wires are down. A transformer may also have been damaged.

UPDATE 5:41 p.m. — Salem F/R heavy rescue truck and second ambulance dispatched.

UPDATE 5:45 p.m. — Salem F/R command arriving on scene confirms down wires and says reports two vehicles involved. Also requests that Highway B traffic be blocked due to low hanging power lines.

UPDATE 5:57 p.m. — Flatbed tow truck being requested for one vehicle.

    Now maybe they will put a 4-way stop at B & K.

    A four way stop sign would not have prevented that. People stop speeding pass the 55 miles per hour and actually stop at that stop sign would have prevented that crash.
