Silver Lake firefighters to host baggo tournament June 14

baggo-stockThe Silver Lake Firefighters Association will host a baggo tournament and pig roast on Sunday, June 14 at noon at Schmalfeldt Park, located on Railroad Street between Wisconsin Street and Depot Street in Silver Lake.

There will be two different tournaments. The first tournament will be “bring your own partner” format and the second tournament will be a “blind draw” format.

Registration for the first tournament will begin at 11 a.m. at the registration tent. Registration for the second tournament will take place at the start of the semi-finals of the first tournament. If you plan on doing both tournaments, you can sign up for both starting at 11 a.m.

Cost of each tournament will be $20 per person. Cost of the pig roast will be as follows:

  • $10 for adults.
  • $5 for children under 12.
  • Free for children under 3.

Awards will be issued to the top 3 teams of both tournaments.

In addition to the tournament, there will be a pig roast, raffles, bounce house provided by Intents Inflatables and games for the kids and more.

Funds raised during this event will go towards the purchase of a new Thermal Imaging Camera, which is used to help find victims in hard to see situations, as well as helping find any fire extension while minimizing damage to property.

Rain or shine. In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the Silver Lake Fire Department at 113 S First St.
