On Tuesday, June 2 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to close WIS 50 under US 12, in Walworth County. The closure will be from approximately Edwards Blvd., to Grand Geneva Way. This closure is necessary to set girders on the US 12 bridge. Safety to the traveling public is of the utmost priority. The safest way to complete this work is to close the highway underneath. WisDOT has chosen off-peak travel hours to minimize impacts to the traveling public. Westbound WIS 50 traffic will be detoured north on US 12 to the WIS 120 interchange, then back south on US 12 to exit at WIS 50 westbound. Eastbound WIS 50 traffic will go north on Edwards Blvd., continuing west as it turns into Sheridan Springs Road. Continue west on Sheridan Springs Road to County H (Interchange North Road). Go northeast on County H/WIS 120 to WIS 36. Go east on WIS 36 to WIS 83. Go south on WIS 83 to connect to WIS 50 eastbound. A visual representation of the Eastbound WIS 50 detour can be found on 511 Wisconsin at http://projects.511wi.gov/us12wis50/map/ (Click on Detour)
