Westosha Central High School’s Jazz Central will present its annual Spring Jazz Concert on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 p.m. in the CHS cafetorium at 24617 75th St. in Paddock Lake.
The program will feature a wide variety of styles such as swing, shuffle, funk, and even a little bit of 1980’s rock. Under the direction of Adam Scheele, Jazz Central will perform classics such as Stompin at the Savoy, I Mean You, and Dat Dere along with newer compositions and arrangements such as Buffalo Wings and Human Nature.
Admission is free and the public is welcome. Select songs will have recently been performed by Jazz Central in the Music in the Parks competition held in conjunction with Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.
That’s great! HS concerts were one of my favorites when i was in school. Does anyone know if they will play at graduation as well?
All of the junior and sophomore band students will perform at graduation.
