Road work being done on Highway 50 in Paddock Lake may lead to lane closures and some more congested than usual traffic.
Kenosha County crews are doing asphalt pavement repairs on Highway 50 in Paddock Lake on behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Gary Sipsma, director of the Kenosha County Division of Highways explained in an email:
There are numerous areas on STH 50 that have severely deteriorated pavement. We are milling off the deteriorated asphalt and replacing with new asphalt. This work will continue today (Tuesday), Wednesday and Thursday this week. There will be temporary lane closures for the duration of the project. The lane closures will be moving to various repair areas as directed by WIDOT.”
There will be more work to be done on Highway 50 after this week, but no set timetable yet, Sipsma said:
Because there are so many areas of deteriorated pavement, this work will continue periodically after this week. However, we don’t have an exact schedule at this time.”
