Paddock Lake celebrated Arbor Day Saturday.
For the 16th year, the village was presented with a Tree City USA flag. Kim Sebastian of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources made the presentation at the ceremonial planting of a tree in Erickson Park. The Tree City USA status is conferred on governments that show special commitment to trees in their community.
The new tree will replace a tree struck by lightning, said village administrator Tim Popanda.
Other officials at the ceremony were village Trustees Barb Brenner and Kathy Christenson and county Supervisor John Poole.
