Randall School students move on to district in speech contest

Randall School participated in the 2015 Modern Woodmen’s School Speech Contest. This year’s contest topic was: “An interesting landmark”.

Twenty-seven students at Randall, grades 6-8, competed in this competition during the first round.  Round 2 consisted of 6 finalists: Lauren Christensen, McKinley Boyle, Shane Vacala, Kaldan Kopp, Elli Zerr, and Kimmy Zender.

  • First Place was McKinley Boyle, grade 7.
  • Second Place- Kimmy Zender, grade 6.
  • Third Place- Kaldan Kopp, grade 6.

Boyle and Zender will move on to the district level competition on April 20. The district competition will include five schools participating in the program. The first, second, and third place winners at the district level will be eligible to move on to the state level competition.This year the district speech contest will be hosted and held at Randall School.
