The National Weather Service has lifted a flood watch for the Fox River in Western Kenosha County.

The river, as measured at the New Munster gauge, was expected to be over flood stage of 11 feet by Saturday morning.

Instead the river reached a crest of 10.65 feet at about 9:45 a.m., and is now receding. The current hydrologic forecast calls for the river level to be below the action stage of 10 feet by early Tuesday morning.
