Applications being accepted for Nathaniel Walter Scholarship

Nathaniel Walter

Nathaniel Walter

A scholarship set up in the name of Nathaniel Walter, a Wilmot Union High School student from 2010 to 2013 who was killed while on the family’s garden tractor after his junior year, is now taking applications.

While at Wilmot, Nathaniel volunteered as a Teacher Assistant in the IT Department and worked in the IT Department over the summers. While in school, Nathaniel was a member of the wrestling team, track team, and trap shooting club. Outside of school, he was active in his church and Boy Scouts, earning his Eagle Scout Rank in 2013.

A $1,000 scholarship has been designed to help students pursuing post secondary education (Technical School or College and University) in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) related field. The Walter family has been working with Wilmot High School over the past two years helping to raise money with a fun run/walk over Homecoming for the scholarship fund.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must prepare and submit a 2 to 5 minute multimedia presentation describing yourself, your career aspirations and why this opportunity is important to you.

Submit application and presentation to: Scholarship@sdwalter.com

Application Deadline: April 17, 2015
