At 7:17 p.m., the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for an area including Kenosha County, the Kenosha County Emergency Warning Center is reporting..
The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m.
Severe thunderstorms are occuring now in the northwest portion of the county. The storm is traveling northeast at 40 mph.
UPDATE 7:26 p.m. — Heavy rain, lightning and more wind just now in Paddock Lake.
UPDATE 7:29 p.m. — National Weather Service now issuing severe thunderstorm warning until 8 p.m. for northwestern Kenosha County.
UPDATE 7:44 p.m. — McHenry County reporting a confirmed tornado touchdown near Marengo, Ill.
