Wilmot High School Drama Department to present Legally Blonde The Musical

Drama-webWilmot High School Drama Department will present the fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This musical is enjoyable from start to finish. Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside-down, however, when her boyfriend dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard Law. At school, she struggles with peers, professors, and Warner Huntington. With the help of Paulette and Emmett, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. The part of Elle is double-cast with Amanda Hutchings and Elena Schleusner; boyfriend, Warner, is played by Anthony Sandberg; Margo is portrayed by Adia Fuller; Jami Steffen plays Serena; the role of Pilar is portrayed by Savannah Meyers and Angela Marinez; Gaelen is played by Sarah Poteracki; Abbey Severt portrays Kate; Lauren Hansen plays snobby Vivienne Kensington; her friend is portrayed by Isabella Anderson; the part of Paulette is played by Annette Triller; Kiki is portrayed by Sarah Zerr; Becca Brewer portrays Brooke Wyndam; Aeryn Burgess plays Chutney; Jonny Fluger portrays Emmett; Professor Callahan is played by Anri Santamaria, Kyle is double-cast with Adam Ruehmer; Dewey is played by Jake Gildemeister; the Harvar  classmates are portrayed by Rachel Osterloh, Antonio Burgos, and Maggie McDonald; and Grandmaster Chad is played by Tyler Tonyan. There are many more students involved in this high school version of the Broadway musical. All tickets are $7 and sold at the door the one hour before each performance.
