The Randall School 7th Grade Gifted and Talented students did a community service project in December, collecting batteries for children at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

The collection took place from Dec. 1-5, with a small contest for the classes.

The two classes that collected the most batteries (K-3 and 4-8) received a $25 gift card from Walmart (prizes sponsored by Randall Student Council) to purchase whatever the class would choose. The school collected a total of 1,535 batteries!

The winning classes were:

  • 4K-3: Amanda Fiewger’s p.m. 4K class with 116 batteries.
  • 4-8: Kevin Adamek’s 4th grade class with 212 batteries.
