Salem town Clerk Cindi Ernest has made the following announcement:
Salem Town Chairman Diann Tesar has declared a snow emergency in Salem, until further notice. Per Salem Code of Ordinance No. 470-7(C)(1) (2)No vehicles may be parked on public streets, roads or highways, night or day, during a declared snow emergency. Any vehicle so parked within the Town may be removed. The owner of a removed vehicle will be responsible for all towing and storage costs which must be paid prior to release to the owner. Residents are asked to take care, restrict their travel and stay home during this storm. … “
